Sharing experiences and building a community; navigating recovery from a lifetime of codependency. A mom and social worker discovering my emotional intelligence and empowering others throughout the journey.
Hello, I am Beatrice, those in my podcast family call me Bea. A little about me, I am a Mom, Medical Social Worker, and recovering codependent.
I am a mother of a two year old son. He teaches me every day how to be creative, passionate for life, and patient. He also teaches me how to be a healthy mom. How to relieve my childhood. He teaches me the traumas I came from and how to break those chains for him. He teaches me unconditional love and the magic of parenthood.
I have always had a passion for our elders, so naturally I works specifically with the geriatric community as a Social worker. I am so blessed to both learn from our elders and be apart of their transformation journey through the end of life. Most people light up when a baby walks in the room, I, on the other hand, am gasping and grinning every time anyone with lines of life all over their face walks into the room.
I am a child of an Alcoholic and Codependent parent duo. I have been taught from a young age to be selfless to a fault. My first serious relationship had serious abuse dynamics and I bet you couldn’t guess….A addict/codependent connection. I have learned a lot on my discovery and recovery through codependency and healing from an abusive childhood and romantic relationship.
My goal is to build a community of those who have an eagerness to learn about emotional intelligence and wellbeing and struggle with abusive or unhealthy relationships (romantic or not) themselves. If I could help one person identify and grow from the emotional knowledge this podcast brings. I will be content. So come on, lets share together, grow together, and support one another.
Welcome to OUR tribe.
With all my love,
Bea
